I don't know what best "C/V ratio" stand's for. I think at least they don't explode.
Also, bet that they may be expensive (from catalogue) or difficult to find for doubles of used motor runs. Some tolerances of 10% might be to much, unless you go 5% or less. I agree with you that the final test is the one you do, a work of art if it sounds good.
