Don't miss the distinction between musical instrument speakers and those used primarily for sound reinforcement. Both are prosound drivers, but one is for backline applications and the other for front-of-house sound, for the audience. Backline gear is voiced for the instrument, and is colored in whatever way suits the musician. Guitar speakers are colored, they're part of the instrument, responsible in part for the musician's sound. But the speakers made for sound reinforcment are designed to be uncolored, true to the original signal. These kinds of drivers provide high fidelity sound, high output SPL and they are durable.
