The Dayton speaker is tuned to be a drop in replacement for the JBL 2226, Eminence Omega 15, Kilomax 15, Magnum 15HO, etc. It's obviously targeted for this application and looks like it will perform quite well in boxes from 2.0ft3 to 8.0ft3 tuned to 40Hz. PiAlign recommends 2.6ftft3 tuned to 36Hz, so it's basically suggesting it be used in the Stage, Premium or Professional Series four π or seven π loudspeakers.

The Peavey driver needs a smaller box or a horn. It is suitable for use in 0.7ft3 to 3.0ft3 cabinets tuned to 55Hz. I imagine its best used as a midrange or wide range driver.
