Ship the driver to me, and I'll send it to Eminence. If they are able to warranty it, they'll send me a replacement and I'll send it on to you. If not, it's really not worth much so I probably won't ask them to ship it back unless you ask me to.
As for a replacement, as I said, I think I'd stick with the original Alpha 10. You could go with a Delta 12LF, but you'll need to add a crossover and a compression horn. That would be a very nice speaker, if you're willing to spring for the extra cost.
