Actually, I think the reason that Wayne would rather leave the 3Pi as-is is because that speaker is supposed to be a simple and low-cost solution that works well how it is.

Wayne's put togethor the 8Pi loudspeaker if one wants to use a midrange horn. Or use one with the Pi cornerhorns instead.....
