If memory serves, the 2220's are similar to 2205's. If so, you'll love 'em in π cornerhorns. The 1980's standard model seven π cornerhorn used a JBL 2205 used a cabinet about the same size as the current 2226-based model. The motor chamber is a little under 3.0ft3 and tuned to 40Hz. Seems like the 2205 needed 2.2ft3, and with displacements figured in, the box outside dimensions were about 3.0ft3. Anyway, you might grab a copy of PiAlign and run the numbers to be sure, but I think you'll probably find that your 2220's in a 2.5ft3 to 3.0ft3 π cornerhorn will work very well.
