Ten π's are a front-loaded horn designed to peak a bit at 40Hz, which really helps the 2226's nicely. Seven π's are simpler, and honestly, I prefer them when used in a home where corners are available. Certainly I'm biased, but I'd far prefer either of these two designs to a scoop, especially one that peaks at 100Hz.
