I really loved the JBL 2115, but I'm afraid it is just too hard to find these days. You might consider the 2105, if you can go with a 5" driver. Like the 2115, it's also a 1980's speaker but I've seen a few of them still around. The Community M4 uses a 6.5" diaphragm, and it is a purpose-designed 4" exit compression driver, capable of extremely high output. In a little larger format, the JBL 2012 and 2020 are excellent speakers in their current product line. You might also look at the TAD 1101 or 1201. For considerably less money, the JBL 2123 is very popular and quite good. And for that matter, the Delta 10 is a pretty good midrange as are some of the other Eminence 8" and 10" models.
