I have a bathroom between us. He is acutally pretty good about now leaving the volume up for long periods of time. I don't mind hearing it cranked up from time to time. I even had to give him a little talk about the damage that can be done to ones hearing. He did not really want to hear it (no pun...really), but I had to tell him anyway, these speakers are capable of some good sound and it is much easier to turn it up than it is with crap speakers. His old speaker were a KLH sub/sat system from Best Buy. He was pretty happy with that before, but I don't think there is any going back now. His eyes (and ears) have been opened.
