It's a great idea to use nylon strain reliefs to hold wires in place when building two π towers and other large speakers. Having wires hanging is no real problem, but the strain reliefs keep them from pulling loose or vibrating against something when the speaker is in use.

You can get a package of these strain reliefs at most hardware stores. I think Radio Shack stocks them too.
