I was at this event and pushed to hear them (had never heard Pi speakers before).

They probably didn't have the ultimate in detail or the most amazing imaging, but tonality was fine and the price couldn't be beat. Note that we were listening via an $8,000 front end.

They also mated well with a Decware Select amp in terms of volume (1.8 wpc) and concept (simplicity). For those of you unfamiliar the Select is just 7 components with no internal wiring used.

Yes the cabinets weren't finished, but were built strictly to specifications. (After some of the nasty outcomes from tweaking I've seen I actually admire those who can leave well enough alone.) The owner wanted to build the 2 Pi Towers next, see which he preferred, and then "experiment" with finishing the cabinet he least preferred first.
