I agree about DIY'ers not being a significant demographic, but all of the manufacturers I mentioned mostly sell completed products and some sell only completed products. Their target buyer is the same person who now buys from dealers. The only difference is their presidents empty their own trash can, they don't advertise in Stereophile, and their prices are about half that of the mainstream brands.
