With simplicity a hallmark of the Zen amps, I'd suggest looking at the 2 Pi Towers: besides the stuff listed on the Pi site for this speaker note that it has no crossovers and can be built using 12 inch and 16 inch MDF shelving. Then you can turn the speaker sideways to get a thinner, more modern look.

If you can get past drilling 6 holes, rest is easy construction. (Personally I have no problem with black painted speakers.)

And you have the option of putting them in the corner to boost the bass.

For less than $150 for the kits including cabinet materials plus a little effort you'd be SET. (Sorry)
