they melted down to make them with :(
I asked the folks at E if the chips were toxic...if they say they don't paint them, I'll chalk it up to a blown fuse in my memory. It looks like "lack of adhesion" where the inside corners are, like maybe the surface coating "shrank" after application, and pulled away from the (improperly prepared?) surface slightly. Sam
