They used to be called "whispering death". Plenty of straight-line speed and power (for the time), wheelie prone, terrible breaks and flexible flyer chassis rigidity made them quite a handful. It could get you into a lot of trouble that it couldn't get you our of. Some of those 2-strokes still exist. I saw an RD350 on the street yesterday. That was probably the best of the breed. Dave
