I'm not sure what you are saying, but if it involves slight changes to cabinet proportions - keeping volume the same - it's probably OK. I'm more concerned with the cavity that might be under the floor - Do you have a raised hardwood floor? That's what really concerns me 'cause they can muddy the sound and be hard to deal with.
