I've begun tube-rolling replacing the RCA cleartops in the Foreplay with Mullards and the whatever GE's Doc sent in the Paramours with some really Primo Telefunken.Wow! The friends I've had to visit, who usually would listen for a minute as a disc started and then talk; now they sit and listen. Make comments like "it's so real" or "I never knew what you meant before about how 'it's not about loud'."
In other words, there's nothing esoteric or intellectual about the sound that comes from Pi speakers. It's real, it's visceral and everyone "gets it".
