had zero effect on the measured Fs of my pioneer 8's. But I really am pretty sure that the bass became fuller, more natural sounding after about 2 weeks use with my jbl 4648A-8's. Could be a learning curve, sure, but when I broke in the second pair...they sounded noticably less full in bass response until they also hit around 2 weeks use. But one set is short wall, the other long wall. Diff. xover points, but same LF systems. Same amp. Different wire. (buzzzz) They now sound the same to me. Sam
