in a 56 cu. ft. box, is that low enough :) And these guys think they are hearing bass running single 15's???

Seriously, it's all about price/performance ratio as Wayne said. Also, a quantity vs. quality choice is often there in audio...deeper extension/less power handling (operating below Fs) vs. lower distortion with higher tuning.

BTW, after breaking in two pairs of the 4648A-8's, I think the jbl 2226J's took about two weeks of 8 hours daily (75 dB) use to "run in" before they displayed their best overall low end performance. As Till said, vocals are very articulate and realistic. Sam
