Too bad some people don't realize that sharper is safer, be it plane irons, saw blades, router bits, kitchen knives. It's one thing that I've still have not learned to do well myself. A local tool and machine shop sharpens my plane irons for only $5 a piece and it last me for an entire season. Just have to hone a few times in between.
