Ok, after toying around with settings and different kinds of software, I finally landed on BeyondTV 4. I purchased a copy from Fry's that came with a small remote control that actually works and I couldn't be happier! The remote and softPVR function worked right out of the box, and the best part is, is that it can record the shows in DIVX
