I think as long as every viewer keeps in mind that the creators and the actors in the movie aren't present then theres no need for clapping because they won't hear the clapping, so there is no point to do it. I hate when people do that at the theatre at the end of a movie. It's just dumb. Another thing to be afraid of I guess is if theres clapping in the movie he's watching ( : .
