The Pioneer is a VSX D 309. I doubt it's a current model as I bought it used for 85.00. It has 60WPC X 5 with less than .2 THD. So it's not high end for sure. It has AM/FM, 4 other inputs three are video and one is audio with no phono. It's easy to setup as I was able to do it without trouble I stayed with vintage speakers because the little KLH's aren't fatiguing to listen to.
Here's sort of a breakdown on the system cost
TV- Phillips 27" used 65.00
HT Receiver- Pioneer VSX D 309 used 85.00
DVD- Denon 755/1910 refurbished 135.00
Speakers-KLH 17's used 4@ 25.00 ea 100.00
No sub woofer yet.
Total 385.00

Hopefully this makes some sort of sense Wayne.
