I'll look for a Yamaha then. I have until next August to find one

What is a decent voice/singing mic and stand? It doesn't have to be TOTL, just decent. I thank you very much for your help Leland.

I went and picked up the gear today. Here's what I ended up with.
2-SP-6G speakers
1-PV-500 Amplifier in a stand
1-Unity Series 300 Mixer
1-JVC DVD player for Karaoke
A whole music package for that karaoke crap with 450 songs
2 cheap omni mics and one Peavey XLR omni mic
a bunch of XLR cords and regular TS cords
several RCA patch cords.

So hopefully it's 600.00 worth of equipment. It sounds decent and it should work fine for our little shows.
