Note: I made a mistake in who designed the crossover. It was done by a private firm, not Eminence. My mistake.

Please don't mis-interrept my post. The sound of the SI is good right out of the box. It has a natural, easy to listen to, somewhat laid back sound. My tweeks are just that, tweeks. I only recommend this for serious, die-hard tweekers like me who can't leave anything alone. The results I've described are my own personal tastes and make a subtle change to a livlier midrange. Again, my personal choice. The speakers sound great as designed. I'll probably, knowing me, tinker more in the future as well. I'm never completely happy with leaving speakers alone.

Dave
