Just for the sake of discussion, and no offense to JP, but could the problem be in the wiring? Are the speakers wired correctly? With all the discussion of “lake of tone”,and the music listened to, I would think at least one song would sound good, an instrumental, a good jazz recording? Just a thought in the trouble shooting process
