I own a Mastersound Reference 845, 40W channel, integrated SET. In all my years of audio, some 36 years now, one of my favorite speakers was the original Carver Amazing with a 60" yellow ribbon and four 12" woofers. In the hopes to capture much of what I liked about that speaker, I'd like to build an array that's SET-friendly, but with high quality sound. I've asked in an earlier post (that seems to be going ignored) about the pros & cons of using 4-8 large Heil dipoles per side in an array. Does anyone know if these will work and if not can you make a suggestion for a high-quality SET-friendly array?
