In my experience, 8 inchers have better midbass but suffer from top end rolloff or beaming. I have never heard the F200A but looking at the specs it seems better in this regard. I find, in general, that a 5-6 incher can be more easily made to give proper top end extension and still produce credible bass using the right enclosure/better Xmax, etc.

This is why i like the dca 5.5 design so much, since it does both these things well.
I also like the fostex 6 inch drivers for the same reason, though the dca 5.5 has better bass than those, in the PAWO horn.
