As long as the specs meet the application requirements PA drivers are fine. However, the majority of PA drivers, or Musical Instrument drivers to be more precise, are very low in Qts, sacrificing low frequency response for broadband sensitivity. In vented aligmments a low Qts MI 15 incher will typically have an F3 around 60 Hz, so don't assume that any MI driver will be suitable for home use.
