HI Wayne,
No I sold my museatex Bidat & bought this one instead (freed up the money for other things).
I use the standalone CD player with its internal DAC.
It sounds terrific, and looks cool too.
It does have a coax output sp/dif, but I am using the unbalanced analog outs.
I strongly recommend it!
Hard to come by though....hardly ever see one for sale.

Great soundstage & separation. It lacks the ultimate perhaps organic tonality of the Bidat, but sounds very close! I have still kept my museatex bitstream, which aftter a $350 mod by John Wright, apparently sounds quite close to the bidat. Just in case I miss that bitstream sound.
But this CD player is GREAT!
