The noise is some form of rumble I think. On quiet passages in the music it's very audible. Maybe it's in the preamp but I don't think so. I have the TT on a wall mount I made so it's isolated from the rest of the equipment and speakers. I think your idea of fooling around with the Dual is a good one and I'll look inti it. I just need to pick a direction and go Thanks for your advice.
