After reading the forums for a long time (4 years or so) I have still sought an introductory guide to speakerbuilding theory that
addressed those completely new to the hobby.

And I found it.

"Speakerbuilding 201" is a new book published by Audio Amateur Press
and Ed Dell, the fellow who brings you _audioXpress_ magazine every
month.

After looking at the first few pages, I'd say that if I can't grasp
theory here in Ray Alden's book, I never will. Ray has published previous volumes on speakerbuilding and teaches in a specialty high school for gifted would-be engineering students.

The book has a lot of sidebars on math principles which I, for
one, never grasped adequately at the time of my education.

It is interestingly written and with humor which includes many
quotations of note.

I am not well into it yet (I am slow to do so) but I believe that
this book is worth owning for the theory, computer software examples and projects contained in it.
