Much obliged, manualblock. Not good news. Got an adaptor for 15v dc because a 16v was not available. Plugged it in and nothing happened. Thought unit was faulty and measured it with a digital meter. Reading was consistently at 14.99v dc. Tried the adaptor which came with the 147 and the tt worked, even played some records. Measured this non-original adaptor and reading was bad at -3.6mv dc. I'm told this means it's faulty. Knowing next to nothing about electronics, I don't know what to make of all this. Sorry, manualblock, I know you said don't use that adaptor.
