I dunno. I think it needs some refinements. Even sand only is an accident waiting to happen. Don't sneeze near it. It should be something like a waterbed.... a bag filled with whatever slo-mo substances like oil etc with the leads in it that would absorbs shocks from the floor.

My precarious turntable setup is nothing to brag about.

I would like to find some piece of furniture that puts the TT at about 36 in. when I am seated.
