Man, that sucks.

I'd contact the person that sold it to you and let them know. They probably will offer you condolences, and nothing more.

Make a claim with the shipping company, and hopefully shipping insurance will cover the cost of repair. Naturally, they will not honor a claim if the item wasn't packaged properly. So I'm not sure I'd complain to the shipper about the quality of your sender's packaging job.
