Mr. Cobra; I must state I have not built this amp, I only offer it up as an example of the use of KT-88's as a followup to the continuing KT-88 posts on this site. Some have expressed interest in those tubes and the circuits built around them. The article states a very thorough build write up. It includes performance graphs and a description of the sound. Good stuff. I think KT-88's might work for me because they run on moderate plate voltages and have good power output with a lively sound and low distortion in Push-pull. Configured in triode mode they have very low 2nd order distortion figures and PP cancels most 3rd order. J.R.
