Hello, gentleman. I'm a longtime service tech who grew up around tube audio, studied electronics intensely at an early age, and got a lot of my hands-on experience and knowledge from a 30 year tech who is factory authorized by many manufacturers. I design, build, and service guitar and audio amps, both SS and tube, but as my user name suggests, I'm as hardcore a tube junkie as they come. I read this thread and just wanted to say I'll be more than thrilled to offer help or advice if I can, and in a benevolent and kind way. I'm very turned off by the egos and attitudes at forums like Audio Asylum, and want no part of anybody's ego trip. You can count me in here. It looks friendly and promising.
