I'm pretty sure this started simply as a group buy effort which,
from reading a little more in DIY audio, is something they encourage
and do quite a bit of.

This guy Brian can prob'ly be contacted by mail. I thought the group buy was just for a bunch of parts, but apparently Brian is supporting this kind of construction with the slide show and other aids for the neophyte builder.

This slide show technique would be an excellent aid for those
wishing to do tube construction projects as well. I have see the
kits at Bottlehead advertised but do not know exactly what the sort
of instruction that comes with them might be. Here's my idea on
what's needed:

A similar slide show with pictorial representation of assembling
the parts plus an additional frame for showing how it relates to
the schematic in a sort of 'iris' insert or sidebar so that the flow of work can be viewed in relation to the physical steps of construction.

Any of you here ever build a television from a heathkit? What I'm trying to imagine is how a really good instruction guide would be
set up: an instruction guide for someone like myself who knows
nothing of electronics.
