Curious what forum members believe in regards to the issue of Global Warming, Climate Change or the human effects of weather patterns. Is it an existential factor for the human race being able to carry on as it is now and into the future with the living standards we've become accustomed to, or will measures have to be implemented that may curb the use of fossil fuels and aggressively pursue alternative means of producing energy production?
And, can nations learn to cooperate to achieve this goal? Or, is this all an overblown issue like Chicken Little carrying on with doom and calamity for our planet?
Personally I feel that this topic has been politicized and dismissed for purposes to pursue a continuation of primacy in world standings. At the expense of objectively taking accumulated scientific research and data for greater priority that could lead to opportunities with developing technologies addressing this phenomena and strengthening potential beneficial economic activities.
As is in our world today in my view. Politics, economics, technology and society are marching along with blinders on by not breaking away from the narrow minded traditions of the last century and those before. If global warming is a human factor which scientific accumulated research and data strongly points to. Then an opportunity exists from that to discard the selfish and unproductive ways of nations and their respective economic and the political chessgames to uphold dubious ideologies. Towards working together with sustainability for the greater future of humankind itself. Rather than a compromised future.
