Ok. I have an idea.
Say there's a talk radio station on the 860 band on AM radio. Now go to where the podcasts are on your phone and download the "Radio Band" podcast (Fictional). Once there, you go to the part of the home screen where you can move your finger up and down/ across a "radio dial" until you get to 860 AM. Along the way, you'll hear those various types of static, whistles, etc.....that you hear on the real radio.
The sound replicates the typical sound of an AM station........on your phone. You move a dial to get from station to station.....on your phone.
What do think? Would you download that?

Honestly, I would definitely give this a try! I have always loved the feeling of tuning an old radio and slowly moving the dial until I find a station. For me, the static, whistles, and little bits of noise are part of what makes radio special.
I like the idea of bringing that experience to a phone instead of just tapping a station from a list. I would enjoy turning the dial, hearing the interference, and suddenly catching a clear voice from a station. It would bring back that old-school radio feeling.
I would download it just for the experience, especially if it feels realistic. I would also love to see local stations included. My only question is, would it play real radio stations or just recreate the sound of tuning an old radio?
