That's a very attractive loudspeaker, and looks to me like it will work well.
My gut feel is that it will perform much like the ones I make - having constant directivity from the Schroeder frequency upwards - offering uniform coverage with good imaging throughout the room beyond the area where the forward axes cross.
I do think you'll want to incorporate subs though. Both for extension and for modal smoothing. I realize you have modified the bass bin to provide deeper extension but room modes dominate so multisubs are still most beneficial.
I find it best to do large projects in stages. First build the mains. Then build subs. Then maybe surrounds. That way, each step gives satisfaction and lets you appreciate what you've done. And each subsequent step can be evaluated incrementally, giving you a thorough understanding of what has been gained. Plus it's much easier on the budget of both time and money.
So maybe later you can build some attractive end tables that serve as secret subwoofers.

I will go with your recommendation to seriously consider integrating a sub and also to adjust the angle so that the forward axes cross before the listening position.
