I've been busy at the workshop all day only to come online tonight to read that Dolly Parton is gone 😢
While we were growing up, we couldn't get enough of her songs like "Coat of Many Colors" and "Jolene."
I remember always playing Jolene any time that my wife is around. It is always a sweet moment.
Her kindness amidst her achievements were heartwarming. I pray for her family and all of us, the fans, in this difficult situation. I've been playing her songs for an hour now. Is anyone else playing her songs in a way to honour her today

I admired her very much. Despite the loud image she did up for being an entertainer. She was a tribute to being real and in touch with her fans and people in general who could see that great honest persona she had. I think the movies she did made her more aware of to most people rather than a country singer. But they both complemented each other.
So long Dolly, you did a fine thing while you were here.
