My turntable, introduced in 1955, comes in at the tail end of your time period. Rock solid speed stability and, with my custom built idler wheel with softer rubber and heavy layered plinth, it's all but eliminated rumble. Tonearm is from the late 60's or the 70's, I believe, so newer than your timeline. If I could find an original Micropoise tonearm for it at a really cheap price, I'd buy it and equip it with a mono cartridge.
