I'm not a technically adept enthusiast but have tube and SS amplification. Maybe one myth of tube audio is that it has this inherent warmth to it. Maybe some do. I use an OTL design tube amplification and I don't sense this cosy warmth as much as clarity and articulation with its sound. Fact is maybe my SS amp is more warm sounding. It's hard to discern without side by side A/B listening. Which I don't have capability. But, I enjoy both.
