I've seen a couple of movies, but when it concerns societal issues, the two movies that helped me understand life challenges better were Parasite and The Pursuit of Happyness.
The Pursuit of Happyness is a movie that centres on single parenthood and how difficult it is to survive when one is living in abject poverty. It is never easy!
The Parasite showcases how money is a major factor in class division. You get to see how powerful money can be when in the hands of a few.
I've rewatched both movies a couple of times just so I don't forget about them.
