I don't understand the reason they are phasing out the era of playing songs on the elevator. I always enjoy listening to those songs the very few times that I've had the need to make use of an elevator in different areas.

I would say that those who started with that idea to phase out those elevator music did the right thing. I was never comfortable listening to music when I am in the elevator. It didn't sit well with me at all.
