I am asking if there is always a possibility of an A-list actor saying how they want a sequel to a movie to be. For example, what would have happened had Arnold said that he doesn't want to be the good guy in Terminator 2?

Would the director listen to him or just call his bluff or something? How does it work?

I do think that the opinions of supporting actors should be considered. They must have been in the industry for a long time and would want to share their views on how they would want the movie to be done. What I can't say is what happens when there is a difference in opinions.

I am imagining how much power an actor could have before they can talk that they have a big say on how a movie should be like. Maybe it is possible for the top stars, but I still see it as an awkward situation.

There are actors who must have done a lot, even going as far as promoting the main movie. I see nothing wrong with such an actor having a say in the sequel of a movie that they featured in. The reason is simply that they now see such a movie as their project, too.
