The causes of whistling noise in a projector can be blocked air vents or poorly sealed panels. I had experienced it while in school when we were using it for our projects and research. We get to call a technician because it wasn't something we can do on our own. he cleaned the fan and also changed the power board.
Hanging projectors on the fan is one major cause of such situation and if you've got someone who's got an idea on projectors installation, then there won't have been need calling a technician since it is a simple job that anyone who's got an experience can handle.
