So, I've been geeking out over Quilter amps lately. Made from Silicon Valley's tech wizardry,  these machines nail that tube-like warmth without the hassle, yet are lightweight.

My cousin decided to purchase the Quilter Aviator Cub last year, and oh boy, it has transformed his setup.

Last December, I was at his place and I can say that he surely did make a good decision getting that beast. Lightweight and not heavy like some tubes.

Do you make use of any of their product? Which one is your favourite model and how does it measure against your old tube faves?

Well, I've been making use of Quilter amps for over a decade now. I decided to focus on the brand after I got tired of some cheap amps not delivering what I needed.

Since around 2014, I've used the Aviator Club Combo, the SuperBlock Ultra and the Quilter Aviator Mach 2 Head. $650 was a lot for me to spend on an amp around 2014, but I closed my eyes and did it when I got that Aviator Club combo and the performance was so good that I was not perturbed when I got the Quilter Mach 2 Head for around $1400 in 2022.

This is because I knew what I was going for and was not worried a bit about the quality.

The Quilter brands last longer and bring that peace of mind which means that you don't have to get a new tube every year and that was a big factor that I considered when I switched to the brand.

I am happy for your cousin for deciding to get the Aviator Cub as that is a fantastic decision that he took, mate. Do you remember his favourite setting on it?
