I've been in a place where I heard these old speakers being used and they just felt slow and muddy to me when compared to the nice ones we get nowadays that offer clarity when being used.
I make use of the KEF Blade Two Meta that I got for $24,000/pair two years ago. Trust me, the clarity and punch are just on a different level.
I get the nostalgia vibe, but I'd rather spend some cash on new speakers that slaps harder. Got no regrets with the decision.
I must admit that the KEF Blade Two Meta is a good one at that price. I mean some of these modern tools just do the work that is needed.
However, I am much better using the older beasts like the Atlec Valencia speakers. I make use of them because I ain't seeking perfection, but enjoy those speakers that deliver what I need in a speaker.
I have tried in the past to get along with these new devices, but I realised that I am more addicted to the vintage ones as they have stood the test of time. So, just like I said earlier, I am not criticising you for deciding to get along with the new speakers and all that, but I just can't fit in with that, mate.
It's been difficult for me.
